Just as athletes rely on coaches, many business professionals are turning to executive coaches to improve productivity, morale and effectiveness in the work place. If you've ever wondered how you could benefit from some coaching sessions, this session is for you. Ann Marie Gaus will join us to talk about business coaching and what it can do for small business owners and their employees. Prior to owning her own company, Ann Marie Gaus was a Director of Human Resources for 3M, a Fortune 100 company based in St. Paul, MN. Coaching is a method of professional development frequently in larger corporations. Hire A Hero

A memorable Meet & Greet for veterans will take place Friday, March 23 at the Flagler County Board of Realtors Building at 4101 East Moody Blvd. Prospective employers can meet and become better acquainted with local heroes between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. This gathering is part of an ongoing effort by Palm Coast/Flagler County to "Hire a Hero" and help veterans secure employment locally.

Palm Coast Chamber Seeks Scholarship Candidates

The Palm Coast Chamber of Commerce is seeking applications from local high school seniors as part of its 2012 Educational Scholarship Program. Each year, the Palm Coast Chamber awards a $1,000 educational scholarship to a high-performing graduating senior to help offset his or her near-term academic endeavors. All high school seniors in Flagler County may apply for the scholarships, and will be evaluated based on the written responses to essay questions, reference letters and economic need. The application deadline is March 31, and scholarship winners will be announced in May.

In addition to the annual scholarships awarded by the Palm Coast Chamber, the Flagler Chamber Foundation awards two $500 scholarships to residents enrolled in vocational programs each year. PALM COAST’S FIRST BIKE RODEO

So many people are riding bikes in Palm Coast, and City staff determined it’s time to introduce a brand new Family Bike Rodeo to the community. The event will highlight bike safety and enjoyment on Saturday, March 10^th in Central Park at Town Center. From 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., families can participate in:

- Bike safety checks

- Bike Safety Course teaching stopping, hand signals; free ice cream cones from ‘Brusters’ for those who complete the course

- Clinics on how to repair a flat tire, what to do if a bike breaks down

- Old bike drop off

- Bike and Helmet raffle

- Fingerprinting for children

The Flagler County Rotary, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, Bike Doctors, the Frank Celico Foundation and PC Bikes of Palm coast are co-sponsors of Palm Coast’s brand new Bike Rodeo. Plan to ride to the park with your whole family or stack your bikes in your van and drive to Central Park in Town Center, located north of Flagler Palm Coast High School at Bulldog Drive. Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach

Date: 4:45 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.

Description:

Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area at Flagler Beach will host a Leap Day Sunset River Cruise on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012. Boarding will begin at 4:45 p.m. and the boat will depart promptly at 5 p.m.

Participants will take a relaxing cruise down the Intracoastal Waterway aboard the Hurricane Queen, sponsored by International Marine Ecological Research Solutions, Inc. (IMERS). This hour and a half cruise will feature complimentary refreshments while you enjoy the evening sunset and program by a park ranger. Bring a camera!

Limited space is available, reservations are required. Please call (386) 517-2086 or email Lauren.Swanson@dep.state.fl.us to RSVP. Your donation of $20 per person benefits the Friends of Florida State Parks and Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area and includes all park admission fees.

From Palm Coast: Take Palm Coast Parkway east across the Intercoastal Waterway (toll bridge) to A1A. Turn left (south) on A1A and travel approximately 11 miles. The park is located on A1A. The Ranger Station will be on the drive to your right and our day use beach facilities will be to your left.

Avoid the toll: Take Palm Coast parkway east to Colbert Lane. Turn right (south) on Colbert Lane and travel approximately 7 miles to SR 100. Turn left (east) on SR 100 and travel approximately 1.5 miles to A1A. Turn right on A1A and travel about 3 miles. The Ranger Station will be located on the drive to your right and our day use beach facilities will be to your left.

The Integra Woods Staff is starting an initiative for

"Kids Caught Doing Good"

Resident children (under the age of 14) will have a chance of winning a $25 prize of their choice at the end of the month. All they have to do is be the one who has been seen doing the most good deeds around the community.

Every time a child is complimented by either the staff or a resident for something positive, they will receive a point. At the end of the month the one with the most points will be rewarded with a prize!!
